IMPORTANT NOTICE: DUE TO SCHEDULED IN OUR SYSTEMS, GIVEN THAT DAY THURSDAY 28 AND FRIDAY 29 NOVEMBER CONSULAR THIS SECTION MAY NOT ISSUE PASSPORTS, VISAS, REGISTRATION OF BIRTH, SHOW CARDS AND POWERS OF ATTORNEY..

VISITORS EXEMPTED OF TURISM, BUSINESS AND TRANSIT MEXICAN VISA:

1. VISITORS HOLDING A VALID USA VISA

In order to provide migratory facilities to foreign nationals, according to Mexican immigration regulations from the 1st of May 2010 is not required to apply for a Mexican Visa as a tourist, business or transit visitors for an stay of up to 6 months to those holding a valid USA Visa regardless their nationality. (Except British Travel Document holders).

To enter the country visitors must fulfil the following requirements:

  • A valid passport at the time of the intended date of entry to Mexico.
  • Valid USA Visa.
  • Immigration authorities may request additional information such as: main destination, hotel accommodation, return ticket, proof of financial means (international credit cards, debit cards or traveller's cheques).

Note: Visitors must obtain a landing card (FMM form) from the airline or at any port of entry in Mexico and complete this form with his/her individual information. The immigration officer will stamp the FMM card upon arrival. PLEASE KEEP IT IN A SAFE PLACE AND DO NOT LOSE IT. YOU WILL BE ASKED FOR THIS DOCUMENT AT YOUR DEPARTURE FROM MEXICO. The Mexican migratory authorities have the faculty to grant or deny the entry into Mexico if the visitor does not fully comply with the migratory regulations.

2. PERMANENT RESIDENT IN THE UK (ILR / ILE / PERMANENT RESIDENTS)

According to Mexican regulations which came into force in June 2009, Permanent residents in the United Kingdom wishing to travel to Mexico do not require a visa to enter the country as tourists or business visitors for up to 180 days and as visitors in transit for up to 30 days, regardless their nationality. (Except British Travel Document holders).

In order to enter the country you must fulfil the following requirements:

  • A valid passport at the time of the intended date of entry to Mexico.
  • Proof of permanent residence in the United Kingdom. Press here to check the official stamps, stickers and cards issued by the UKBA and recognized by the Mexican immigration authorities as proof of permanent residence (ILR / ILE / PERMANENT RESIDENTS) .
