If you have been granted a TPS, you need to request your travel authorization first. Until you receive it you can request your appointment, as you will need both documents. Please be advised that you are able to apply only for a tourist visa.

*For travelers of a third country applying for a tourist visa, you must verify that your US travel authorization is up to date and signed either by your employer or the institution that is sponsoring you. Keep in mind that the first signature is valid for maximum one year.

1. Attached a copy of a utility bill or any correspondence with your name and address on it as proof that you are a New England resident (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI or VT). (If you have TPS include it, also the travel authorization.)

7. Indicate how many appointments do you need. You can only request appointments for spouse or children and need to provide their name and age.

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**

*If you are going to apply for a visa (any type of visa), as someone whom is economically dependent on the primary applicant:

• The primary applicant must have an additional *$1,500.00 USD, after tax per dependent, on top of the economic solvency required for each type of visa.
• Must present the original and a copy of marriage certificate or birth certificate (depending of the case).
• If you submit documents issued by a country other than the United States of America or Mexico, these documents must have the appropriate apostille or legalization; as well as its official translation into Spanish.

*If you’re going to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa and you plan on working remotely in Mexico, we will REQUIRE a letter from your current employer, indicating that you will continue working for them. Said letter must be signed by your direct supervisor and you must present the original, we do not accept PDF documents.

*Female applicants in case you are married, if you submit documents with your maiden name and others with your married name, you:

• Must present the original and a copy of marriage certificate.
• If you submit documents issued by a country other than the United States of America or Mexico, these documents must have the appropriate apostille or legalization; as well as its official translation into Spanish.

NON PAID ACTIVITIES VISA (Tourist/business/transit visa)

Please check the requirements listed below and the additional requirements, considering that the presentation of the required documents does not guarantee the visa issuance.

This type of visa is for you if:

- You are traveling to Mexico for vacation; transit; business meetings; technical activities, artistic, scientific or sport activities; you’re a correspondent journalist or religious minister;

- You intend to remain in Mexico for no more than 180 days and;

- You do not intend to work or get paid for any activity in Mexico.

Requirements:

• Download, print and fill out this visa application form (click here to download it). You must sign the application form in front of a Consular Officer.
• Present your original valid passport and a copy of the main page (the page that has your photo and information). (* PASSPORTS HAVE TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF YOUR INTERVIEW.)
• Bring one passport-size color photo (39 x 31 mm or 2 x 2 inches, front view, no eyeglasses and white background).
• If you are NOT a US citizen, bring the original and a copy of the document that proves your legal residence in the US (I-797, I-20 advance parole, TPS with travel authorization, etc.).

• Pay $56.00 USD in CASH. The fee is for the reception and review of your application, and does not guarantee the visa will be granted. If your visa is denied, and you wish to reapply, a new payment must be submitted each time.

• Proof of economic solvency comply with at least ONE of the requirements listed below:

*You must bring the original of all the required documents the day of your appointment (for the economic solvency you must bring the bank statements the previous THREE months prior to your appointment; printed out bank statements on black & white or color are considered originals (we do not accept images in electronic devices) and "STATEMENTS MUST BE MONTH BY MONTH"). 400. Original proof of investments or bank statements of the previous 3 months prior to your appointment. The statements must show a minimum balance of *$4,500.00 USD after taxes.
401. Original and a photocopy of documents (pay slips, employer’s letter, employment contract, etc.) proving that the applicant has a job or receives a pension that yields a monthly income of $1,500.00 USD after taxes during the previous 3 months prior to your appointment. (You must bring the last 3 months of your paystubs and the last 3 bank statements that reflect the direct deposit of your salary), AND proof of stable employment with a minimum of one year (You must submit a letter of verification of employment that confirms you have been employed for the past year. The letter must be ink signed; we do not accept printed PDF documents).
402. College or university students must submit original and official (letterhead) school transcripts or records and original proof of stable employment or scholarship. They must also provide documents proving that the applicant has a job or scholarship that yields a monthly income of at least $900.00 USD after taxes during the previous 3 months prior to your appointment.

LUCRATIVE ACTIVITIES VISA (Work visa)

If the purpose of your trips is to work and receive a salary or payment in Mexico.

The employer that hires you has to make the entire process for you at the Mexican Immigration Institute (Instituto Nacional De Migración) in Mexico.

As soon as the NUT Authorization (the Mexican Immigration Institute’s letter that states the authorization number) has been approved and you receive it, you must make an appointment.

Requirements:

• Download, print and fill out this visa application form (click here to download it). You must sign the application form in front of a Consular Officer.
• Present your original valid passport and a copy of the main page (the page that has your photo and information). (* PASSPORTS HAVE TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF YOUR INTERVIEW.)
• Bring one passport size color photo (39 x 31 mm or 2 x 2 inches, front view, no eyeglasses and white background).
• If you are NOT a US citizen, bring the original and a copy of the document that proves your legal residence in the US (I-797, I-20 advance parole, etc.).
• The INM’s letter with the authorization NUT number.
• Bring a copy of your contract or a letter from your employer indicating that you will be working for them, it must also indicate the salary and position you will have and how long they are going to contract you.
• Pay $56.00 USD in CASH. The fee is for the reception and review of your application, and does not guarantee the visa will be granted. If your visa is denied, and you wish to reapply, a new payment must be submitted each time.
• Immigration fee $313.00 USD in cash. Applies only for the visa “Visitante con permiso para realizar actividades remuneradas”.

*The visa issued by the Mexican Consulate is valid for 6 months and only one entry, that visa will allow you to enter with a resident status into Mexico. Once in Mexico you have 30 days to go to the nearest INM (Mexican Immigration Institute) office to process your resident card.

Original and a photocopy of documents showing that the applicant has a pension that yields a monthly income of $7,500.00 USD after taxes during the previous 6 months prior to your appointment (please bring your proof of retirement letter with the bank statements that reflect the direct deposit of last 6 months).
3. Parent of a Mexican citizen, the daughter or son must be present and submit:
   • Original and copy of the Mexican birth certificate of the applicant’s family member.
   • Mexican passport and copy of the main page of the applicant’s family member. (The Mexican national must be present at the time of application)

*If the applicant is going to apply for a visa (any type of visa), as someone whom is a dependent:

• The primary person who is soliciting the visa must have an additional *$1,500.00 USD, after taxes, on top of the economic solvency that the primary person is trying to obtain per dependent.

3. If you own a property in Mexico, present the original property deed, showing that the person requesting the visa is the current owner of the property. The property value must exceed $600,500.00 USD.
4. Marriage with Mexican national, your spouse must be present and submit:
   • Original and copy of the marriage certificate.
   • (If you submit documentation issued by a country other than the United States of America or Mexico; these documents must have the proper apostille or legalization as appropriate; as well as its official translation into Spanish.)
   • Original and copy of Mexican passport or birth certificate of your spouse.

• Original signed acceptance letter from the school or university you will attend, which must include:

1. Full name as it appears in your passport
2. Full description of the program, which entails the following
   1. Level of the course being studied
   2. Full name of the program
   3. The Cost
   4. The dates of the beginning and end of the program.
   5. Name and signature of the school authority responsible of these educational activities
3. Full name of the School or University
4. Proof of economic solvency

• Proof of economic solvency comply with at least ONE of the requirements listed below:

*You must bring the original of all the required documents the day of your appointment (for the economic solvency you must bring the bank statements the previous THREE months prior to your appointment; printed out bank statements on black & white or color are considered originals (we do not accept images in electronic devices) and "STATEMENTS MUST BE MONTH BY MONTH"). 1. Original bank statements of the previous 3 months prior to your appointment. The statements must contain a minimum balance of $15,000.00 USD after taxes.
2. Original and photocopy of documents demonstrating that the applicant has a job, pension or a scholarship during the previous 3 months prior to your appointment. The statements must contain a minimum balance of *$1,500.00 USD after taxes. A letter from the bank stating since when have you been receiving these deposits can be presented as support, or additional proof of income, if the bank or pension information is incomplete.
3. Solvency can also be proved by original and a photocopy of document attesting that the student has received a full scholarship.

Economic solvency can be satisfied by the student, his or her parents or whoever has the legal custody over the student. The student must be 25 years old or younger.

If the applicant is under 18 years old, both parents should be present to sign the application. If only one parent is present, it is mandatory to submit a notarized authorization (in Spanish or English) from the other parent with a copy of his/her ID.

*People under 18 years old and people requiring legal guardianship, must attend accompanied by an adult or their legal guardian(s). If the companion is someone different than their parents or legal guardian(s), it is mandatory to submit a notarized document in which their parents or legal guardian(s) authorize them to apply for a Visa.

*The visa issued by the Mexican Consulate is valid for 6 months and only one entry; this visa will allow you to enter with a resident status into Mexico. Once in Mexico you have 30 days to go to the nearest Instituto Nacional de Migración (Mexican Immigration Institute, INM) office to process your resident card.

REPLACEMENT OF THE RESIDENT CARD (LOSS/THEFT/DAMAGE)

For this type of visa, you have to inform us when you have all the documentation ready in order for us to give you an appointment. Normally the visa will be ready in maximum of 10 business days and you must appear twice at the consular office.

Replacement of the resident card (loss/theft/damage) requirements:

1. Download, print and fill out this visa application form (click here to download it). You must sign the application form in front of the Consular Officer.
2. Present your original valid passport and a copy of the bio page.
3. Bring one passport-size color photo (39 x 31 mm or 2 x 2 inches, front view, no eyeglasses and white background).
4. If you are NOT a US citizen, bring the original and a copy of the document that proves your legal residence in the US. (I-797, I-20 advance parole, etc.).
5. Pay $56.00 USD in CASH. The fee is for the reception and review of your application, and does not guarantee the visa will be granted. If your visa is denied, and you wish to reapply, a new payment must be submitted each time.
6. Original and a copy of the official police report that states the theft, loss or damage of your Mexican Residency Card.
7. Copy or a picture of your Residency Card front and back in case of theft or loss, or original in case of damage.
8. The Mexican Temporary or Permanent Residency visa that is stamped on your passport.

All these documents are going to be sent to the National Migration Institute and we will have to wait for their approval. The response time depends entirely on them. You will need to provide a contact telephone number in order for us to inform you when you will have to come to the Consulate once more and do the process again but as a recovery of your card.

*The visa issued by the Mexican Consulate is likely to be valid only for 30 days and only one entry (this is determined by the National Migration Institute); this visa will allow you to enter with a resident status into Mexico.

AFTER ENTERING MEXICO WITH THIS KIND OF VISA, YOU SHOULD GO TO THE NEAREST NATIONAL MIGRATION INSTITUTE OFFICE TO GET YOUR RESIDENT ID.
