BUSINESS AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT VISA

Business and Technical Support Visa for people who travel to Mexico to provide either verbal or manual technical assistance, to give references, training, business audits, teaching of new techniques, installation service or repair of equipment, installation of software and any person who undertakes a job or performs any labors relative to the company, design or initiate their operation or construction of a plant or specific investment project.

 

Requirements

1. All applicants must apply in person (NO EXCEPTIONS, INCLUDING NATIONALITIES PREVIOUSLY EXEMPT).

2. Valid passport, with a photocopy of the page with the bearer’s personal data, picture and signature. The passport should have at least one full unused Visa page. You should submit BOTH the original passport and the photocopy.

3. One recent photo, front view, 2x2”, color with WHITE background (instant photo-machine or digital photos are not accepted). Please make sure that the face is not more than 50% of the photo. No glasses.

4. Original recommendation letter from the company in the US, typed on the company’s official stationary, stating:

A) The purpose of the trip to Mexico in detail.
B) Date of travel and length of stay.
C) Names and addresses of the companies that the person is going to visit in Mexico.
D) That the company in the US is going to be responsible for the applicant’s expenses and salary while in Mexico.
E) For how long the applicant has been working in the company.
F) Where is the applicant’s office located.
G) What is the applicant’s monthly income.
H) For how long the company is requesting the issuance of the visa.

5. Invitation Letter: Original Invitation Letter from the company/organization/association based in Mexico must be addressed to the Consulate General of Mexico in Chicago requesting the visa and specifying:

A) Exact purpose or activity and length of time for the trip to Mexico.
B) How your expenses will be covered.
C) Applicant's full name.
D) Registration number of the company/institution/organization, address, contact's full information of the company/organization/institition.
E) Copy of ID of the person who signed the invitation letter.

NOTE: All of these details must be in the letter. All letters must have original signatures; scanned or electronic signatures are not acceptable.

6. If you're not a citizen of the United States of America, please present an American Resident Alien Card, Permanent Resident Card or valid US multiple-entry visa, I-94 or signed I-797, with one copy front and back views, if it is the case.

7. Application for Mexican Visa duly completed, either typed or clearly printed.

8. Consular fee of $36.00 USD payable by cash, credit or debit cards. Personal checks are not accepted.

  • VISA PROCESSING TIME IS FIVE BUSINESS DAYS
  • DO NOT BUY YOUR TICKET BEFORE YOU GET A VISA.
  • IF THE APPLICATION DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS, WE WILL BE UNABLE TO PROCESS IT.
