The Consulate of Mexico in Del Rio informs that ECOFILM is an International Environmental Short Film Festival, held annually in Mexico.
It responds to the need to raise awareness on environmental topics, promoting audiovisual production and ecological culture with solutions that balance human beings in interaction with their environment.
Supports its actions through collaboration and partnership with institutions, companies and individuals committed to environmental issues on the international agenda. The exchange of ideas is melted in a single event: competition between artists, screenings, lectures, special guests; a prism of ideas, visions and emotions with a new understanding of the world.
Hombre Naturaleza organizes the 9th International Festival of Environmental Short Films, ECOFILM Festival, annual film festival specializing in short films with environmental themes, which is a platform whose mission is to promote and disseminate environmental awareness and environmental care through creativity expressed in audiovisual form.
ECOFILM Festival invites audiovisual creators, filmmakers in formation and consolidated from Mexico and the world to participate and be part of its Official Selection 2019, through the competition and activities developed by the Festival throughout the year with venues in Mexico City, as well as locations and other cities in the Mexican Republic.
The short films will be chosen by a selection committee made up of specialists in the environment, cinema and public policies, as well as personalities from the film, advertising, communication and environmental industries, whose decision will be unappealable.
ECOFILM Festival, in its 9th edition, seeks to create awareness and a positive impact from the active contribution of citizens. With the aim of approaching the issue, and educating the inhabitants who can actively transform their cities in smart, safe and aware of innovation and changes in sustainable habits.
