BASES

•  Las instituciones educativas interesadas deberán presentar la solicitud de apoyos financieros de IME-Becas 2025 en el Consulado General de México en Denver.

•  Sólo serán consideradas solicitudes de instituciones que contribuyan a multiplicar fondos adicionales, que al menos se equiparen con los solicitados. Se sugiere triplicar, cuadruplicar o más los fondos requeridos.

•  No se aceptarán solicitudes incompletas o posteriores a la fecha de cierre de la convocatoria. Para los envíos por correspondencia se considerará la fecha del sello postal y no la de recepción en las oficinas consulares.

Será responsabilidad de las instituciones asegurarse de que la representación consular recibió su solicitud.

REQUISITOS

 Entregar la solicitud de fondos con la firma del representante de la institución u organización y sus anexos:

Ø Copia de los estatutos legales (bylaws) de la institución/organización.

 Incluir una propuesta con los siguientes elementos, con una extensión máxima de tres cuartillas:

•  Misión de la institución educativa.

•  Descripción de:

•     La institución, sus objetivos, programas, actividades y logros en el ámbito de la educación y en el desarrollo educativo de las personas migrantes mexicanas.
•      Sus proyectos y planes para cumplir las metas esperadas (anticipando los resultados que se conseguirían con los fondos de IME-Becas y los recursos complementarios), así como los procedimientos para evaluar el logro de los objetivos.

•       Otras aportaciones recibidas y anticipadas por la institución para ayudar a cumplir con los objetivos del proyecto y las actividades relacionadas.

• Presupuesto que describa a detalle los gastos propuestos por la institución solicitante, incluyendo una breve exposición del propósito de dichos gastos. Asimismo, se deberá indicar cómo se distribuirán los apoyos financieros entre los estudiantes, y cuándo se efectuará la entrega de los apoyos correspondientes.

•  Estrategia de difusión del programa IME Becas al interior de la institución, particularmente de los alumnos beneficiados. 

MECANISMO DE SELECCIÓN

El Consulado General verificará que las solicitudes cumplan con los requisitos de la Convocatoria. La selección de instituciones estará a cargo de un Comité Local integrado por al menos tres personas destacadas de la circunscripción consular, vinculadas con la educación. El Comité Local deberá ser incluyente y atender las necesidades educativas locales. 

 Se dará preferencia a las instituciones que puedan equiparar los fondos solicitados a IME-Becas; es decir, que, a través de otras fuentes de financiamiento, complementen los fondos de manera igual o superior a los presentados en su solicitud.

 Se considerará, únicamente, a las instituciones cuyo plan de trabajo cumpla con los objetivos y lineamientos de esta Convocatoria.

 Se tomará en cuenta el número de personas mexicanas o de origen mexicano que serán beneficiadas, de conformidad con la modalidad seleccionada.

 Para determinar el monto del apoyo se tomará en cuenta el compromiso señalado por escrito en la solicitud sobre el monto que aportarán las instituciones a su programa de apoyos financieros.

 Se podrán obtener recursos adicionales, provenientes de organizaciones o fundaciones de asistencia social, privadas o gubernamentales para los apoyos financieros, y de ser el caso, éstos también deberán de ser distribuidos por el comité local reflejándolos por separado de los recursos otorgados por el Gobierno de México. Para ello, se utilizará el formato de carta de donación que se encuentra al final de la convocatoria.  

SOLUCIÓN DE CONTROVERSIAS

Cualquier asunto no previsto en la presente convocatoria será resuelto por el Cónsul General de México en Denver, conforme a sus atribuciones.

PUBLICACIÓN DE RESULTADOS

El Consulado General publicará los resultados de la Convocatoria el 20 de mayo del 2025.

Recursos IME-Becas 2025

El gobierno de México a través del Instituto de Mexicanas y Mexicanos en el Exterior, asignó un monto de $20,500.00 (veinte mil quinientos) dólares para el Consulado General de México en Denver, tomando en cuenta el tamaño de la circunscripción, el número de aliados estratégicos, la población atendida y su desempeño en el periodo inmediato anterior.

 HIGHER EDUCATION

BASES

•   Education institutions may hand in their IME-Becas application form at the Consulate General of Mexico in Denver.

•  It will be only reviewed the applications of institutions that are committed to multiply funds to the ones requested with at least the same amount as the one requested. It is recommended to triple, or multiply the funds requested by three times, four times or more.

•  Incomplete application forms will not be accepted nor those presented after this call’s deadline. For those applications received by mail post, the postal seal´s date will be taken into consideration.

It is the participating institutions responsibility to make sure that their application form was received by the Mexican Consulate.

REQUIREMENTS

 Hand in corresponding application form signed by the institution´s representative and its annexes:

             Copy of the institution’s bylaws.

 Include a proposal (not longer than three pages) enclosing the following elements:

             Mission of the applicant education institution

             Description of:

         • The applicant institution’s goals, activities, programs and achievements in the fields of education and personal development of the Mexican migrant                            community.

         • Its plans and projects to achieve its expected goals (anticipating the results to be reached with the IME-Becas funds plus the additional resources) as well as           the tools and procedures to evaluate the achievement of its goals.

        • Other money contributions anticipated or already received by the institution to help achieve the project´s goals and its activities.Detailed budget describing the institution’s expected expenses including a brief explanation of the expenses´ purpose. Moreover, the proposal must explain how this financial support will be distributed among students and when they will be handed over to these recipients.

              Promotion strategy of IME Becas program within the institution, particularly among the beneficiary students. 

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The Consulate General will verify that all applications comply with this Call’s requirements. Three prominent members of each consular circumscription, involved in education work, will form the Local Committee, responsible of the institutions selection. For this reason, it is paramount the Local Committee be inclusive and consider the local education needs.

 Preference will be given to institutions that can match the funds requested for IME-Becas; that is, those that, through other sources of funding, can complement the funds equal to or greater than those submitted in their application.

 SOnly those institutions whose work program complies with the goals and guidelines of this Call will be taken into consideration.

 The number of Mexican students (including those of Mexican origin) will be paramount when selecting the institution which will receive the funds in accordance with each modality.

 To establish the amount to be granted, the written commitment enclosed in the application stating the amount the institution will provide, is paramount to determine the amount to be granted by IME-Becas.

 Additional resources may be obtained from social organizations or foundations, whether private or governmental, for financial support. If applicable, these must also be distributed by the local committee, reflecting them separately from the resources provided by the Mexican government. For this purpose, the donation letter form found at the end of the call for proposals must be used.   

SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES

All issues not mentioned in this call must be settled by the Consul General of Mexico in Denver in accordance with his attributions

IME-Becas 2025 Resources

The Government of México, through the Instituto de Mexicanas y Mexicanos en el Exterior, has decided to grant  $20,500.00 (twenty thousand five hundred)  US dollars for the  Consulate General of México in Denver, taking into consideration the circumscription´s size, the number of strategic allies, the population served and its performance during the previous immediate period.
