Requirements I. Passport or identity and travel document that is valid in accordance with current international law, in original and copy; II. A photograph with the face visible and without glasses, in color, passport size, whose measurements must be at least 32.0 millimeters x 26 millimeters and a maximum of 39.0 millimeters x 31.0 millimeters, with a white background and front; III. Original and copy of the document that proves their legal stay, if the foreign person is not a national of the country where the visa is requested, and IV. Present the documents that prove any of the following assumptions: to. Rooting: 1. Original and copy of the public deed of real estate duly registered in the name of the applicant with a minimum of two years old and proof of stable employment with a minimum of two years, or 2. Original and copy of the public deed of real estate duly registered in the name of the applicant with a minimum age of two years and a document that proves ownership or participation in business issued by the competent authorities of each country with a minimum age of two years. b. Economic solvency: 1. Original and copy of the documents that show that you have a job or pension with monthly income free of encumbrances greater than the equivalent of one hundred days of the general minimum wage in force in the Federal District, during the last three months and proof of stable employment with seniority minimum of one year, or 2. Original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts with an average monthly balance equivalent to three hundred days of general minimum wage in force in the Federal District, during the last three months, or 3. In the case of foreigners who study regularly in higher education institutions, they must present the original proof of studies and original proof of stable employment, pension or scholarship with monthly income equivalent to sixty days of the general minimum wage in force in the Federal District, during the last three months.

c. Invitation from an organization or a public or private institution. 1. Original of the responsive letter from an organization or a public or private institution that invites the foreign person to participate in an event or unpaid activity in the national territory. The letter must contain the following information: i. Applicant's full name and nationality; ii. Name or company name of the organization; iii. Official registration number, as appropriate; iv. Object of the private or public organization or institution; v. Full address and contact details of the organization or institution; saw. Information about the activity to be carried out or the project in which the foreign person will participate. The activity of the foreign person must be related to the purposes of the inviting organization or institution; vii. Estimated duration or approximate date of completion of the activity to be carried out; viii. The commitment to take charge of the maintenance of the foreign person during their stay in Mexico and their return to their country of origin or residence, and ix. Copy of official identification with signature and photograph of the person signing the responsive letter. 2. In order to prove that it has the resources to comply with the obligation referred to in subsection viii of the previous paragraph, the inviting organization or private institution will present the original and copy of the investment voucher or bank accounts with an average monthly balance equivalent to one thousand days of minimum wage in force for the Federal District, during the last twelve months. Public institutions and private institutions belonging to the National Educational System do not need to prove economic solvency. 3. The documents with which the foreign person certifies that they have the experience, capacity, skills or knowledge necessary to carry out the activity for which they are invited, in original and copy. d. Driver or cargo transport operator who intends to enter the national territory with the sole purpose of loading or unloading merchandise: 1. Original and copy of the valid and current driver's license that authorizes the foreign person to drive freight buses in accordance with the local regulations in force. 2. Original letterhead from the carrier company or association to which it belongs, addressed to the consular authority, requesting the Mexican visa in favor of the foreign person indicating the type of merchandise that it transports, the most frequent routes it uses, stating that the foreign person has the necessary financial resources to pay for their stay in national territory. The letter should also contain: i. Applicant's full name and nationality; ii. Name or company name of the transport company or association; iii. Full address and contact details of the company or association, and iv. Copy of an official identification with the signature of the person signing the letter. |
and. Humanitarian cause: 1. Serious state of health: i. If the applicant is the spouse, common-law wife or common-law partner of the foreign person who is in national territory and is in serious health, a marriage certificate or proof of common-law relationship or equivalent figure issued by the competent authority in accordance with the applicable legislation of the country in where the legal act was held, in original and copy; or If the applicant is the child of the foreign person who is in national territory in serious health, the applicant's birth certificate, in original and a copy; or If the applicant has a foreign child who is in national territory, in serious health, the birth certificate of the foreign child, in original and copy, and ii. Original of the document stating the serious state of health in which the foreign person is found, issued by a public or private health institution in Mexico, with an issue date not exceeding 30 calendar days and that reliably proves that the foreigner who is in national territory requires the support of your family member. 2. Recognition or recovery of corpse: i. If the applicant was the spouse, concubine or common-law partner of the foreign person who died in national territory and their intervention is required for recognition or recovery of the corpse, marriage certificate or proof of common-law marriage or equivalent figure issued by the competent authority in accordance with the applicable legislation of the country where the legal act was held, in original and copy; or If the applicant was the child of the foreign person, the applicant's birth certificate, in original and a copy; or If the applicant was the father or mother of the foreign person, birth certificate of the foreign child, in original and copy, and ii. Original of the document stating that the applicant has been notified that her intervention is required for the recognition or recovery of the body issued by a competent authority or federal, state or municipal public institution. 3. For the public interest: Request of a dependency or entity of the Federal, State or Municipal Public Administration in the public interest to carry out, direct, coordinate or support relief or rescue actions in emergency or disaster situations in the national territory. F. Scientific research or collection of samples in national territory or jurisdictional waters of the country, after obtaining authorizations from the competent national authorities in waters of territorial jurisdiction: 1. Copy of the communication by which the diplomatic representation in Mexico of the country of which they are nationals or residents, notifies the foreign person that the SRE received the authorizations from the competent national authorities, if they are foreign persons who wish to enter to participate in scientific research projects and / or sample collection in the national territory or in jurisdictional waters of Mexico. The communication must contain the following information: i. Applicant's full name and nationality; ii. Name or company name of the organization or public or private institution that invites the foreign person; iii. Information on the activity to be carried out or the project in which the foreign person will participate, and iv. Estimated duration or approximate date of completion of the activity to be carried out. |
g. Studies: 1. Original and copy of the acceptance letter from an institution belonging to the National Educational System to carry out courses, studies or research projects or academic or professional training for a period of less than 180 days, on the institution's letterhead, in which be specified: i. Applicant's full name and nationality; ii. Level, degree and area of study that the applicant intends to carry out; iii. Name of the course or academic activity in which you have been accepted; iv. Start and end date of the course or academic activity; v. Tuition cost for the academic course or activity, and saw. Identification data and official registration of the educational institution. 2. Economic solvency to cover the amount of tuition and accommodation and living expenses during their stay in national territory, accredited by: i. Original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts with an average monthly balance equivalent to one hundred and fifty days of the general minimum wage in force in the Federal District, during the last three months, or ii. Original and copy of the documents that demonstrate that you have a job, pension or scholarship with monthly income free of encumbrances greater than the equivalent of one hundred days of the general minimum wage in force in the Federal District, during the last three months. Solvency may be accredited by the applicant, by his parents, by his spouse, common-law wife or partner or equivalent figure; or by whoever exercises parental authority or guardianship, or with a letter from the educational institution that proves that they have been the beneficiary of a scholarship or document from a banking or financial institution that proves that they have the financing. h. Participation in an event sponsored or sponsored by the Federal Public Administration as well as by the autonomous constitutional bodies. 1. Original letter of the agency or autonomous constitutional body that invites the foreign person to participate in an event derived from international commitments contracted by the Mexican State to hold events. The letter must contain the following information: i. Full name of the applicant; ii. Nationality; iii. Name of the Federal Public Administration unit or autonomous constitutional body iv. Information on the event in which the foreign person will participate; v. Duration and date of the event; and saw. Signature and title of the official of the Federal Public Administration or autonomous constitutional entity responsible for coordinating the event. 2. Original of the letter or note from the institution of the country that sent you, and V. Payment of fees for the issuance of a visa in accordance with the Federal Law on Rights, except in cases where there is an Agreement or Unilateral Declaration of Gratuity with the country of which the foreign person is a national. |
Issuance criteria: - The issuance of the visa is subject to the result of the consular interview. - In the case of girls, boys, adolescents or people who are subject to legal guardianship under the terms of civil legislation, the visa application form must be signed by both parents or by the person exercising parental authority or guardianship in the presence of the consular officer or employee. - If the father or mother does not physically appear at the consular office to obtain the visa for their minor child, they must present the notarial authorization of the other parent stating their consent to obtain a Mexican visa. - In the case of girls, boys or adolescents whose parental authority corresponds only to one of the parents by court ruling, a certified copy of the official document that determines it must be presented. In the case of a document issued in a third country, it must be legalized or apostilled, as the case may be, with a translation in the case of a language other than Spanish. - When they go alone or with a third party of legal age, they must present a document granted before a notary public or by an authority that has the power to do so, stating the authorization of both parents or those who exercise parental authority or guardianship over them, to that a Mexican visa be processed and, if applicable, issue it. - In the case of spouse, common-law or common-law or first degree relatives (parents and children), or person subject to legal guardianship, who are under the economic dependence of the foreign person holding a Mexican visitor visa without permission to carry out Paid activities or visitor with permission to carry out paid activities, valid and in force, a visitor visa may be issued without permission to carry out paid activities, for which it will only have to prove the family bond and comply with the provisions of sections I and II of Article 102 of the Regulation of the Law, without being required to prove any of the assumptions of economic solvency. - Likewise, the applicant for a visitor visa without permission to carry out remunerated activities who is over 65 years of age, who reliably proves in the opinion of the immigration authority has the purpose of visiting national territory for tourist purposes, must comply with the provisions of sections I and II of Article 102 of the Regulation of the Law, without being required to prove any of the assumptions of economic solvency. - When the foreign person who proves the economic solvency of the spouse, common-law wife or common-law partner or equivalent figure, does not require a visa because there is an agreement or unilateral decision to abolish the visa, they must prove the family bond and the requirements provided in sections I, II, III of the requirements section. - Foreign persons who intend to join the framework of intergovernmental agreements or programs of international cooperation for development, bilateral and / or multilateral, will be documented by instruction of the administrative unit competent in the matter of issuing visas of the SRE to the consular offices in terms of the Fifth Guideline after presenting the requirements indicated in sections I and II of this procedure. - Foreign persons, ministers of worship or religious associates applying for a visa must present a responsive letter issued by a religious association. In the event that they present the consent issued by SEGOB, in terms of Article 18 of the Regulations of the Law of Religious Associations and Public Worship, they will be exempt from compliance with the requirements established in section IV, subsection c), numerals 2 and 3 of the requirements section. - The visa application procedures for foreigners who fall under the assumptions of Article 43 of the Law will be denied. |
Important information for the user: - In places destined for the international transit of people by land, sea and air, the foreign person must present the passport or identity and travel document that is valid in accordance with international law and in force with a visa, and deliver the FMM to the immigration authority properly filled out. - Foreigners are obliged to provide the information and personal data that are requested by the competent authority within the scope of its powers. - The visa may be used exclusively during the period of validity, which begins with the date of its issuance and for the number of entries indicated. - The length of stay allowed in the national territory will be determined by the immigration authority at the point of internment and may not be longer than 180 days. - Foreigners who need to comply with requirements or obtain any authorization to carry out activities regulated in other legal provisions other than immigration, must abide by such provisions at all times. - Visitors who intend to carry out an unpaid or philanthropic activity linked to the performance of a profession or who require a special authorization, must comply with the provisions of the applicable legislation on the matter and obtain the authorizations of the competent authorities. - In the case of foreigners who in their capacity as members of governmental or non-governmental organizations wish to enter the national territory in order to provide assistance or medical services on a voluntary basis in marginalized populations, they must obtain authorization from the Ministry of Health of the locality in which they will perform their functions. - The drivers or operators of cargo transport vehicles that enter the national territory with the sole purpose of loading or unloading merchandise at the border customs precincts of the national territory will not pay fees for migratory services. They must pay the fees for issuing the visa at the consular office. - This visa does not allow paid activities. |
