Issuance of a visa for theft, loss or destruction of an immigration card that proves the condition of stay. |

Applicable to foreigners who suffer theft, loss or destruction of the visitor or resident card that proves their condition of stay abroad. |

Exceptions to Article 15-A of the Federal Law of Administrative Procedure: |
Those indicated in sections I and III of the requirements section. |
Requirements: I. Passport or identity and travel document that is valid in accordance with current international law, in original and copy; II. A photograph with the face visible and without glasses, in color, passport size, whose measurements must be at least 32.0 millimeters x 26 millimeters and a maximum of 39.0 millimeters x 31.0 millimeters, with a white background and front; III. Original and copy of the certificate issued before the competent authority of the place where the theft, loss or destruction of the card that proves your condition of stay occurred. Exceptionally and only in the event that it is not possible to draw up the report before the police because the country in which it is located does not grant it, original of a document where, under protest of telling the truth, it declares to have lost it or that it was stolen or destroyed; IV. Original of the card that proves your condition of stay, in case of partial destruction, and V. Payment of rights for the issuance of a visa in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Rights. |
Expedition Criteria: - The consular office must consult the Institute within a maximum period of 2 business days, from the moment the foreign person submits the application, about the origin and terms in which the visa must be issued. - The Institute must respond within a maximum period of 5 business days. If applicable, it must contain the following information: to. Foreigner's Name; b. Nationality; c. Information on the type of residence in Mexico, and d. Explicit instruction stating the condition of stay, its validity and the authorization to the consular office for the visa to be issued. - The consular office will issue the corresponding visa, within a period of no more than 3 business days. |
Important information for the user: - In places destined for the international transit of people by land, sea and air, the foreign person must present the passport or identity and travel document that is valid in accordance with international law and in force with a visa, and deliver the FMM to the immigration authority properly filled out. - Foreigners are obliged to provide the information and personal data that are requested by the competent authority within the scope of its powers. - The visa may be used exclusively during the period of validity, which begins with the date of its issuance and for the number of entries indicated. - The foreign person must process within the next 30 calendar days from their entry into the national territory, the replacement of the card that proves their condition of stay and allows them to remain in the national territory. - The rights generated by the replacement of the card that proves your condition of stay, will be covered directly before the Institute. |
