Temporary Resident Visa through NUT
ATHORIZED TO PERFORM REMUNERATED ACTIVITIES. TO STAY MORE THAN 180 DAYS AND LESS THAN 4 YEARS.

- Passport, original and copy of the page with your personal details, photograph, & signature.
- One passport size photograph (front, no glasses, color, must be recent)
- Proof of legal status in the U.S. (this only applies for non-U.S. citizens) you need to provide the original and copy of your US Visa, entry stamp, ESTA (Electronic System Travel Authorization) Permanent Resident Card, EAD cards, I-797 forms, Advanced Parole Forms (I-512), I-20 or DS- 2019.
- Letter of authorization with NUT number.
- Please be aware that if there is a mistake in the name, surname, nationality, day of birth, place of birth and or passport number the visa cannot be issued.
- A new letter of authorization must be presented with the correct information in order to proceed with the issuance of the visa. Keep in mind that said correction can only be done at the National Institute of Migration.
- The passport number on the letter of authorization must be the number on the passport presented at the interview.
- Additional Information:
- Passport must have at least 1 blank (no stamps or visas) visa page.
- Must come into contact with a Consulate within 30 business days of receiving notification of the NUT.
- Economic Dependents: if the applicant has direct economic dependents applying for the same type of visa, the applicant must book an appointment for each one of the family members, present either birth certificate or marriage license to prove family relationship and present financial solvency in the amount of 100 days of the current general minimum wage in Mexico City (approx. $645 USD) per dependent. The applicant may present one of the following to prove financial solvency.
- Employment verification letter and 6 months worth of paystubs.
- Certified bank statements for each of the last 12 months.
If Marriage licenses or Birth certificates are needed for visa application and they are issued in another country other than the United States or Mexico, they must have the Apostille or Legalization Seal.
For all documents in a foreign language other than English, a certified translation to Spanish must also be submitted.
