If you are granted a Mexican visa, you will be able to travel to Mexico. Immigration authorities keep the right to grant or deny entry into Mexico. Officials can request information regarding the purpose and length of your trip, as well as the means to cover your expenses while you stay in the country.

 Important: 

  1. If a family is applying, dependents of the main applicant (wife/husband, children, parents, etc.) instead of bank statements or salary/work documents, should provide:

Marriage or birth certificate (which will prove the connection with the main applicant), translated to English or Spanish, this translation must be notarized by a notary of the country of    origin of the document.  

Applicants CANNOT be translator for another applicant (including relatives or dependents); specially in the case of relatives, and work or sentimental partners.

Every applicant must be present to be considered for application.

Kindly consider that the only languages for the biometric process and interview are English or Spanish. Any applicant who speaks any other language must be accompanied by a professional translator who must speak English or Spanish. The translator must present a copy of his/her identification. Only in availability a translator from Turkish to Spanish could be provided.

  •  Prior to your appointment check the requirements for the specific type of visa of your interest. 
  • All required documents must reflect complete name as shown in passport.
  • Visas are NOT stamped on damaged passports.
  • All foreign documents submitted to support a visa application (not of Mexican or Turkish origin) must be notarized and apostilled, in accordance with The Hague Apostille Convention, or legalized.
  • All appointments must be booked ONLY through the CITAS website citas.sre.gob.mx. Appointments are not scheduled by telephone or e-mail. Note that booking an appointment is free of cost. The consulate does not recognize any agencies nor third parties for booking appointments for the applicants.
  • Consular interviews are carried out in English, Spanish or a third language understandable to both parties. It is the applicant’s responsibility to comply with this requirement ​​or verify with the Consulate if there are any alternatives. The Consulate does not provide translation services.
  • Visa applications are accepted only from Turkish nationals and third-country nationals who reside within the consular jurisdiction of this Consulate, which includes Istanbul, Bursa, Izmir, and the surrounding provinces.
  • Please note that only bank statements issued by Turkish banks and documents issued by Turkish institutions are accepted.

  • When booking an appointment on CITAS system, if the message “no office found” appears, it means that there are no appointments available. It is recommended to keep monitoring the website for appointment availability. The Consulate CANNOT book appointments for applicants.
  • Once you have booked your appointment, it CANNOT be changed, modified or rescheduled.

Non profitable activities visitor Visa (Tourism, Business with non-paid activities, etc.) 

Requirements:

  • Passport: valid for more than six months.
  • Application form (printed on one page, double-sided with the date of the appointment). You can download it at this link: “Application Form”  
  • A recent colour photograph, white background, without glasses (photos with the head covered are accepted only if the applicant appears veiled in her passport)
  • Photocopy of passport (data page and page with entry stamp to Türkiye)
  • Proof of work or income from own company: can be an original cover letter from the employer stating the position with a minimum monthly salary of USD 1,437.00 or equivalent in Turkish Lira, the period in which the applicant has been worked (one year of work at least), company registration number and contact information (such e-mail, telephone number, and company website); original payroll receipt - from the last 3 months, signed and stamped by the company in every page; evidence of employer contributions to Türkiye Social Security for the previous 12 months (SOSYAL GÜVENLİK KURUMU); the employer must deposit the monthly salary earned into your bank account;
  • Original personal bank statements* - With savings of at least USD 6,996.00 during the last 3 months, signed and stamped by the bank on every page, and in case of a foreign bank (other than Turkish) they must be notarized and translated into English or Spanish. Average daily and monthly balances should be visible in the document. Bank letter with account balances should be accompanied with the bank statements to be considered.
  • Application Fee 54.00 USD- Payment must be made before the interview takes place (the fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application). Please bring exact amount in cash.
  • It is mandatory to present documents related to the trip, such as hotel reservation in Mexico and round plane tickets booking to the country of origin. It is NOT advised to buy or make any payment to hotels or airlines in advance without obtaining first a Mexican visa. Every applicant must be present to be considered for application.  

Consider:

* If the applicant will be sponsored by a family member (Only applicable to individuals under 18 years of age), applicant should provide original bank statements from the sponsor (with the stablished features), responsive letter signed for the family member and birth certificate (for Turkish citizens, you can obtain said document in a T. C District County Population Directorate, known as “Formül A”).

* For a work trip sponsored by a company, you should provide a responsive letter from the institution and their last twelve months ORIGINAL bank statements with a monthly minimum of USD 17,608.00 or equivalent in Turkish Lira (sealed and stamped by the bank). Bank letter with account balances should be accompanied with the bank statements to be considered.

Visa issue for all nationalities

 


Applicable to foreign nationals seeking entry into Mexico under the condition of stay as a visitor without authorization to engage in remunerated activities, for a period of up to 180 days.

Requirements

  1. Valid and current passport or travel document recognized under international law, presented in original.
  2. Original document proving legal stay, if the applicant is not a national of the country where the visa is being requested.
  3. Documentation supporting one of the following circumstances:
  1. a) Proof of ties to the country of residence.
    b) Financial solvency.
    c) Invitation from a public or private organization or institution.
    d) Applicant is a driver or operator of cargo transport entering Mexico solely for the purpose of loading or unloading goods.
    e) Humanitarian grounds.
    f) Scientific research or collection of samples within national territory or territorial waters, subject to prior authorization from the competent national authorities.
    g) Academic studies.
    h) Participation in an event sponsored or hosted by the Federal Public Administration or autonomous constitutional bodies, for a period not exceeding 180 days.

  2. Completion of the Electronic Visa application, including all information required by the immigration authority.
  3. A digital photograph of the applicant’s face without glasses, against a white background, similar to a passport or travel document photo, in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format, with a file size between 2 and 5 MB.
  4. A digital image of the passport or travel document data page in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format, with a file size between 2 and 5 MB, ensuring the image is properly framed and clearly visible.
  5. Travel to Mexico must be by air.
  6. Payment of applicable fees in accordance with Article 22 of the current Federal Law on Fees.

Requirements

  1. Original passport or travel and identity document that is valid under international law and currently in force.
  2. Original copy of the adoptability or pre-assignment report issued by the National System for Integral Family Development (DIF), indicating information about the identity of the child or adolescent.
  3. Original letter of acceptance of the child’s assignment and continuation of the adoption process issued by the Central Authority of the Receiving State, expressing both the authority’s and the applicants’ intent to proceed with the adoption.
  4. Payment of applicable fees for the reception, review, and, if applicable, authorization of the visa, in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Fees.

Note: Within 30 calendar days from the date of entry into Mexican territory, the foreign national must obtain a Visitor Card for Adoption Purposes from the National Immigration Institute.

  1. Original passport or travel and identity document valid under international law and currently in force.
  2. Original document proving legal stay, if the applicant is not a national of the country where the visa is being requested.
  3. Supporting documents demonstrating one of the following conditions:
  1. Financial solvency
  2. Scientific research in Mexico’s territorial waters
  3. Invitation from a public or private organization or institution
  4. Covered under an international legal instrument for the mobility of persons
  5. Family unity
  6. Ownership of real estate in Mexico
  7. Investor status

Note: In all cases, the foreign national must apply for a residence card within 30 calendar days from the date of entry into Mexican territory. This card certifies their legal stay and allows them to remain in the country.

  2.  Original document proving legal stay, if the applicant is not a national of the country where the visa is being requested.
  3.  Supporting documents demonstrating one of the following conditions:
  1. Enrollment in academic studies
  2. Covered under an international legal instrument for the mobility of persons

Financial solvency may be demonstrated by the applicant, their parents, or legal guardians—provided they are under 25 years of age—or through a letter from the educational institution confirming the applicant has been awarded a scholarship, or documentation from a banking or financial institution confirming available funding.

Note: The Temporary Resident Student Card, which certifies legal stay and permits continued residence in Mexico, must be obtained within 30 calendar days from the date of entry into Mexican territory.

Electronic Visa For Turkish Nationals

 

ELECTRONIC VISA FOR TURKISH NATIONALS

  1. The electronic visa (SAE) is available only for Holders of Turkish ordinary (RED) passports.
  2. Holders of Turkish special (green) and service (grey) passports must apply in the nearest consular office of Mexico for the corresponding stamped visa.
  3. The electronic visa (SAE) is valid for 30 days since issuing date and a single entry. The holders could stay for a period up to 30 days*
  4. The electronic visa (SAE) is FREE. Do not accept charges to obtain it.
  5. The electronic visa (SAE) is available only if you are traveling by air with an airline incorporated to SAE. If you want to entry by land or by sea, it is necessary to apply for a visa in the nearest consular office of Mexico.

 *Having a Mexican visa gives the possibility to travel to Mexico, but the entry to Mexican territory is subject to the final decision of the Immigration and Health Authorities in the point of entry into Mexico.

 

At the point of entry, the migratory agent will require the following documentation:

  1. FMM form dully filled
  2. Hotel bookings in Mexico and return or onward flight ticket.
  3. Documents proving the purpose of the trip (tour itinerary, company invitations, company contract, etc)
  4. Proof of financial means.

Nut Holders

ATHORIZED TO PERFORM REMUNERATED ACTIVITIES. TO STAY MORE THAN 180 DAYS AND LESS THAN 4 YEARS. (Renewable each year before the National Institute of Migration)

Applicants must select the appointment type “Visas CON Permiso de INM.” Applications scheduled under any other category will not be processed by the Consulate.

If no appointments are available, it means there are currently no vacancies for applicants with a NUT number. Applicants are advised to check the appointment page regularly for possible cancellations. 

NUT holders must be able to communicate in English, Spanish, or the Consulate’s working language (Turkish).

Applicants speaking any other language(s) are not eligible to apply.

    2. new letter of authorization must be presented with the correct information in order to proceed with the issuance of the visa. Keep in mind that said correction can only be done at the National Institute of Migration.
  6. Additional Information
    1. Passport must have at least 1 blank (no stamps or visas) visa page.
    2. For NUT visas, translators are not allowed, the interview is conducted in Spanish, English or Turkish.

For all documents in a foreign language other than English, a certified translation to Spanish must also be submitted.
