VISA EXEMPTIONS

 

HONG KONG AND MACAO PASSPORT HOLDERS DO NOT REQUIRE A VISA TO ENTER MEXICO FOR A STAY OF UP TO 90 DAYS FOR TOURISM OR BUSINESS PURPOSES.

 

Also, any foreign national traveling with any of the following documents will NOT require a visa to enter Mexico as a tourist or business person for up to 180 days:

a) Valid multiple entry visa from USA, Canada, Japan, Great Britain, or from any of the Schengen Area European Member States (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland).

b) Document that proves permanent residence in Canada, Colombia, Chile, Great Britain, Japan, Peru, USA, or in any of the Schengen Area European Member States (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland).

c) APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC), approved by Mexico.

d) Certificate recognizing the person as a crew member of an aircraft arriving into the country.

e) Accreditation as a crew member of a vessel arriving into a Mexican port from international travel. If the crewmember arrives via airplane to enroll in a ship at a Mexican port, then proof documents of enrollment, information on ship, and port where vessel is located, will also be requested.
