TEMPORARY RESIDENCE VISA
This visa is for applicants who wish to:
· Stay in Mexico for more than 180 days.
· Travel to Mexico for retirement, investment, professional activities, technical activities, artistic activities, scientific activities, and sporting activities, or for those who
· Will not work, receive payment or have a work authorization permit.
Applicants are required to apply and pick up the visa IN PERSON.
Requirements:
1. Make an online appointment at https://citas.sre.gob.mx/. (Choose country: China, office: Hong Kong).
2. Fill out the Visa Application Form. Download HERE.
3. Valid passport and one photocopy.
4. Proof of legal stay in Hong Kong or Macao.
5. One passport-size (3.5 * 4.5 cm) photo, white background, no glasses or contact lenses that change the natural color of the eye, recently & studio taken, neutral expression.
6. Proof of income:

1. Employment. Documents that clearly state the average monthly income/salary during the 6 (six) months previous to the visa application date (bank statements; investment, pension or statements; or payment slips). These documents must be accompanied by:
a) Original and photocopy of proof of continuous employment (employer’s letter specifying position, employment period, and salary; original signed contract), OR
b) Original salary receipts.
2. Savings or investments. Original and one photocopy of documents that clearly state the monthly average of investments or saving accounts for the last 12 (twelve) months.
Important information
All documents presented – proof of income, bank statements, etc. – must be original documents; if they are not originally issued in Spanish/English they must be accompanied by a translation into Spanish.
With regards to the “proof of legal stay”, applicants are required to present a valid HK visa o rentry slip (in the case of visitors or temporary residents), a Resident HKID or a Permanent Resident HKID.
