¿Qué es un permiso humanitario?

Es una autorización que otorga el gobierno de Estados Unidos para ingresar a territorio estadounidense de forma temporal a personas extranjeras que no cumplen con los requisitos ordinarios de admisión. Este permiso se otorga solamente en casos de emergencia para familiares que requieren tomar decisiones medicas de un ser querido, para asistir a funerales de familiares directos o cuando una persona es requerida por autoridades judiciales para acudir a un juicio.

El permiso humanitario únicamente es concedido a familiares en primer grado (cónyuges, padres, hijos o hermanos) y en todos los casos, el Departamento de Seguridad Interna de Estados Unidos analiza la información y emite una resolución para permitir o negar el ingreso, la cual es inapelable. 

Las autoridades suelen negar el ingreso cuando la persona solicitante cuenta con antecedentes de procesos migratorios.

Es importante saber que el Consulado de México ya no funge como intermediario entre la persona solicitante y que  las autoridades estadounidenses son las responsable del fallo emitido.  

HOSPITALIZADOS POR ENFERMEDAD GRAVE

Únicamente es aplicable a familiares directos

Por indicaciones de las autoridades de la Oficina de Aduanas y Protección Fronteriza de Estados Unidos (CBP), la persona interesada deberá presentarse con toda la documentación en el punto de cruce fronterizo y serán dichas autoridades quienes finalmente decidirán si el permiso es otorgado o NO, así como la temporalidad del mismo.

Los documentos no deben presentar ninguna alteración.

REQUISITOS:
