THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF MEXICO PRESENTS
“PERSPECTIVES OF DACA AND MIGRANTS”
- The exhibition will take place from July 25th to September 2nd at the Cultural Institute of Mexico located at 2555 Ponce de León Blvd., 5th floor, in Coral Gables.
The Consulate General of Mexico in Miami and the Cultural Institute of Mexico in Miami (ICM) present the art exhibition "Perspectives of DACA and Migrants", by renowned artists Teresa García, Aurora Molina, Eddy Peñafiel, and Carola Bravo.
This exhibition aims to raise awareness about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, known as #DACA, and provide a platform to reflect on migration from an artistic perspective.
The participating artists, each with unique stories, will bring to life the complexities and emotions associated with the migrant experience, thus promoting an understanding and appreciation of the global phenomenon of displacement of people for different causes and stimulating community dialogue to create empathy with the stories of migrants.
Through "Perspectives on DACA and Migrants", visitors will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of works that address themes of identity, belonging, resilience, and migration-related challenges.
