The Consulate General of Mexico in Miami and the Cultural Institute of Mexico (ICM) present the exhibition Art is Happening Here, celebrating the talent of emerging artists from Mexico, with guest artists from Colombia, Spain, Venezuela, and other countries. With the support of the non-profit organization American Friends of Mexico, as well as Hotel Aloft, Hotel Indigo, and Surfergirlny, the exhibition will feature the winner of the "Loewe 2024" award as its main artist.

The exhibition opens on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 6 pm and will be open to the public until February 28 at the Cultural Institute of Mexico, located at 2555 Ponce de León Blvd., 5th floor, in Coral Gables, Florida.

Art is Happening Here will include dialogues and virtual workshops with important galleries and cultural agents from our country, aiming to strengthen the links between the contemporary art scenes of Mexico and Miami. This event is an invitation to connect, reflect, and explore the infinite possibilities offered by creativity.

It is noteworthy that this exhibition coincides with the renowned Zona Maco art fair held annually in Mexico City, taking place from February 7 to 11.

The Consulate General of Mexico in Miami, through the Cultural Institute of Mexico, reaffirms the commitment of the Mexican government to promote contemporary art in our country as a bridge of union and understanding between nations. This initiative is part of the artistic diversity that characterizes South Florida’s multicultural narrative and vision.
