THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF MEXICO IN MIAMI COMMEMORATES THE "215TH ANNIVERSARY OF MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE"
The Consulate General of Mexico in Miami, in collaboration with Miami-Dade College (Kendall Campus), invites the Mexican community and friends of Mexico in South Florida to commemorate the "215th Anniversary of Mexican Independence" with a cultural festival on Saturday, September 13th, 2025.
The celebration will feature an artistic program that includes music and dance performance from different regions of Mexico to honor our cultural diversity that includes regional Mexican singer Jazmín Sabyna, mariachi Sol de Oro, Rockenes band, Los Hijos del Rancho, Azteca ballet and Ameyal cultural group, in addition to a wide variety of Mexican flavors and dishes. Also, a parade of traditional costumes from Campeche, Chihuahua, Durango, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacan, Oaxaca, Puebla and Tamaulipas.
During the celebration, the “Grito” ceremony will be held by the Consul General of Mexico in Miami, Rutilio Escandón Cadenas, honoring the heroes who started the Independence movement and together with great emotion we will shout ¡Long live Mexico!
The celebration of the independence of Mexico is a meeting place for Mexicans beyond our borders, which promotes the pride and identity of who we are and reminds us of the values of freedom, justice and equality that we must continue to promote and strengthen among our migrant communities around the world.
