Visitor Visa without permission to engage in remunerated activities.
Requirements
- Visa application form duly filled
- Passport or identity and travel document that is valid under international law and in force, in original and copy.
- A photograph with the face visible and without glasses, in color, passport size, whose measurements must be a minimum of 32.0 millimeters x 26 millimeters and a maximum of 39.0 millimeters x 31.0 millimeters, with white background and front view.
- Original and copy of the document proving legal stay, if the foreigner is not an Indian national.
- Payment of fees for the issuance of a visa. The applicable rate for the month of FEBRUARY 2025 is Rs. 4,789.
- Present the documents that accredit ONE of the following cases:
Property ownership:
- Original and copy of public deed of real estate property duly registered in the applicant's name for a minimum of two (2) years and proof of stable employment for a minimum of two (2) years, or
- Original and copy of public deed of real estate property duly registered in the name of the applicant with a minimum of two (2) years and document proving ownership or participation in business, issued by the competent authorities with a minimum of two (2) years.
Economic solvency:
- Original and copy of the documents that prove having a job or pension with a monthly income, during the last three (3) months, and proof of stable employment with at least one (1) year of seniority.
- Original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts for the last three (3) months, or
- In the case of foreigners who study regularly in higher education institutions, they must present original proof of studies and original proof of stable employment, pension or scholarship with monthly income for the last three (3) months.
Invitation from an organization or a public or private institution.
- Original of the letter of responsibility from an organization or a public or private institution that invites the foreigner to participate in an event or non-paid activity in Mexico. The letter must contain the following information:
*Applicant's full name and nationality.
*Name or corporate name of the organization.
*Official registration number, as applicable.
*Purpose of the private or public organization or institution.
*Full address and contact details of the organization or institution.
*Information on the activity to be carried out or the project in which the applicant will participate. The activity must be related to the purposes of the inviting organization or institution.
*Estimated duration or approximate date of completion of the activity to be performed;
*The commitment to pay for the maintenance of the applicant during his/her stay in Mexico and his/her return to his/her country of origin or residence.
*Copy of official identification with signature and photograph of the person signing the letter of responsibility.
- To prove that the organization or institution has the resources to comply with the referred obligation, the inviting organization or private institution shall submit the original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts for the last twelve (12) months.
Public and private institutions belonging to the National Education System are not required to prove financial solvency.
- The documents with which the applicant accredits that he/she has the necessary experience, capacity, skills or knowledge to develop the activity for which he/she is invited, in original and copy.
Driver or operator of cargo transportation and who intends to enter the national territory for the sole purpose of loading or unloading goods:
- Original and copy of the valid and current driver's license, authorizing the applicant to drive cargo buses according to the local regulations in force.
- Original of the letter on letterhead of the company or transporting association to which it belongs, addressed to the consular authority, requesting the Mexican visa in favor of the foreigner, indicating the type of merchandise being transported, the most frequent routes used, stating that the foreigner has the necessary economic resources to pay for his/her stay in the national territory. The letter must also contain:
*Applicant's full name and nationality.
*Name or company name of the transporting company or association.
*Full address and contact details of the company or association.
*Copy of an official identification with signature of the person signing the letter.
Humanitarian cause:
- Serious health condition:
If the applicant is the spouse, common-law wife or common-law husband of the foreigner who is in national territory and is in serious health condition, marriage certificate or proof of common-law marriage or equivalent figure issued by the competent authority in accordance with the applicable legislation of the country where the legal act was celebrated, in original and copy; or
If the applicant is the child of the foreigner who is in national territory in serious health condition, the applicant's birth certificate, in original and copy; or
If the applicant has a foreign child who is in national territory, in serious health condition, the birth certificate of the foreign child, in original and copy, and
AND
Original of the document stating the serious health condition of the foreigner, issued by a public or private health institution in Mexico, with an issue date of no more than 30 calendar days and which reliably proves that the foreigner who is in Mexican territory requires the support of his/her family member.
2. Recognition or recovery of corpse:
If the applicant was the spouse, common-law spouse or common-law partner of the foreign person who died in Mexican territory and his/her intervention is required for the recognition or recovery of the corpse, the marriage certificate or proof of common-law marriage or equivalent figure issued by the competent authority in accordance with the applicable legislation of the country where the legal act was celebrated, in original and copy;
or
If the applicant was the child of the foreign person, the applicant's birth certificate, in original and copy; or
If the applicant was the father or mother of the foreign person, the birth certificate of the foreign child, in original and copy, and
AND
Original of the document stating that the applicant has been notified that his/her intervention is required for the recognition or recovery of the corpse issued by the competent authority or federal, state or municipal public institution.
3. In the public interest:
Request from an agency or entity of the federal, state or municipal public administration in the public interest to carry out, direct, coordinate or support relief or rescue actions in emergency or disaster situations in the national territory.
Scientific research or collection of samples in national territory or jurisdictional waters of the country, after obtaining authorizations from the competent national authorities in waters under territorial jurisdiction:
Copy of the communication by means of which the diplomatic representation in Mexico of the country of which they are nationals or residents notifies the foreign person that the SRE has received the authorizations from the competent national authorities, in the case of foreign persons who wish to enter to participate in scientific research projects and/or sample collection in the national territory or in Mexican jurisdictional waters. The communication must contain the following information:
*Applicant's full name and nationality.
*Name or company name of the organization or the public or private institution that invites the foreign person.
*Information on the activity to be carried out or the project in which the foreign person will participate.
*Estimated duration or approximate date of completion of the activity you will be carrying out.
Studies:
- Original and copy of a letter of acceptance from an institution belonging to the National Education System to carry out courses, studies or research or academic or professional training projects for a period of less than 180 days, on the institution's letterhead, specifying the duration of the course, studies or projects:
*Applicant's full name and nationality
*Level, grade and area of study that the applicant intends to pursue.
*Name of the course or academic activity in which he/she has been accepted.
*Start and end date of the course or academic activity.
*Cost of tuition for the course or academic activity.
*Identification and official registration data of the educational institution.
- Economic solvency to cover the tuituion fee and maintenance expenses during their stay in national territory, accredited by means of:
I. Original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts for the last three (3) months, or
II. Original and copy of the documents that prove that the applicant has a job, pension or scholarship with a monthly income for the last three (3) months.
The solvency may be accredited by the applicant, by his/her parents, by his/her spouse, concubine or concubinary or equivalent figure; or by the person exercising parental authority or guardianship, or with a letter from the educational institution accrediting that he/she has been the beneficiary of a scholarship or a document from a banking or financial institution accrediting that he/she has the financing.
Participation in an event sponsored or sponsored by the Federal Public Administration as well as by autonomous constitutional bodies.
- Original of the letter from the agency or autonomous constitutional body that invites the applicant to participate in an event derived from international commitments made by the Mexican State for the celebration of events. The letter must contain the following information:
*Applicant's full name.
*Nationality.
*Name of the Federal Public Administration agency or autonomous constitutional body.
*Information on the event in which the foreign person will participate.
*Duration and date of the event.
*Signature and job title of the responsible government official/autonomous constitutional body
- Original of the letter or note from the institution of the sending country.
