WHAT TYPES OF VISA CAN I GET AT THE CONSULATE?
Foreigners visiting Mexico with touristic, transit or business purposes, for a period less than 180 days, won’t need a Mexican visa if they are holders of:
- A valid visa from Canada, the United States of America, Japan, UK or any other country pertaining to the Schengen Space (from May 18, 2016 onwards) or
- Any document accrediting permanent residency in Canada, the United States of America Japan, UK or any other country pertaining to the Schengen Space or any Member Country of the Pacific Alliance (from July 1st, 2016 onwards)
The Mexican immigration authority will provide the migration form FMM.
If you are willing to stay more than 180 days, work or study in Mexico you shall need to contact the Consulate at consuloxn@sre.gob.mx
Please be advised that the possession of a Mexican visa DOES NOT guarantee admission into the country. The individual’s entrance and length of stay will be left to the discretion of the National Institute of Immigration (INM).
