The Consulate General of Mexico in Sacramento is pleased to announce the celebration of a baseball game dedicated to Mexico, as part of the festivities commemorating the Bicentennial of the Independence of Mexico and the Centennial of the Mexican Revolution, on Tuesday August 31, 2010, at 7:05 pm at Raley Field in Sacramento.
In this year of particular significance when we reflect on the two major historical processes that shaped the construction of our country into a united, free and democratic nation, the Mexican community around the world is enthusiastically involved in these celebrations as special opportunities to enjoy our history, culture, traditions and artistic expressions, and -at the same time- cultivate feelings of friendship with other peoples and nations of the world.
For the Consulate General of Mexico in Sacramento is imperative to foster these fraternal ties between Mexico and California, a state to which we are united by historical, geographic, economic, political, social, and cultural ties.
We invite you to join us in this Sacramento River Cats vs. Las Vegas 51s game and celebrate together in a friendly atmosphere, the 200 years that link Mexico and California.

MEXICO BICENTENNIAL SOCCER CUP
As part of the celebrations of the Bicentennial of the Independence from the Spanish crown and the Centennial of the Mexican Revolution, next September 11 and 12, we will held the Mexico Bicentennial Soccer Cup at Weston Ranch High School, located at 4606 McCuen Avenue in Stockton. The deadline for registration is September 3rd, 2010.

CANCER INFORMATION FOR MEXICAN MIGRANT
The program "Mano a Mano" from MD Anderson Cancer Center presented its Web site that contains information about studies being done on the lifestyle, cultural habits and propensity to develop cancer in the population of Mexican origin residing in the Houston metropolitan area.
The study "Mano a Mano" is a unique source of information on the health of the Mexican and Mexican-American community.
