La Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) a través de la Coordinación de Investigación Científica (CIC), la Coordinación de Vinculación y Transferencia Tecnológica (CVTT) y la Universidad de California (UC), a través de Alianza UCMX en colaboración con la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores de México 
convocan
 
CONVOCATORIA EXTRAORDINARIA DE COLABORACIÓN BINACIONAL FRENTE AL COVID-19 
 
 
FONDOS DISPONIBLES
Primera fase hasta $10,000 USD
Segunda fase hasta $25,000 USD
 
Los proyectos se financiarán de forma continua, sujeto a la disponibilidad de fondos.
 
La presente convocatoria estará vigente a partir de la fecha de su publicación y hasta el 30 de mayo de 2020 a las 6:00 p.m. hora del pacifico
 
OBJETIVO
Financiar proyectos innovadores de emprendimiento o desarrollo tecnológico para enfrentar la pandemia COVID-19 tomando en cuenta criterios de viabilidad técnica, financiera, de mercado, con impacto social y/o ambiental.
 
ÁREAS PRIORITARIAS
Incluyen, pero no se limitan a las siguientes tres áreas:
  • Biomédicas: Pruebas diagnósticas y los insumos necesarios para su aplicación; Sistemas de tamizaje para detección de síntomas asociados al Covid-19; Tratamientos y tecnologías de prevención
  • Sistemas de Salud: Herramientas para proveedores de servicios de salud; Plataformas de acceso rápido a información en español; Escrutinio y contratación en línea; Acceso a suministros y equipo médicos; Monitoreo remoto; Modelos matemáticos y/o epidemiológicos predictivos; Robots; Impresiones 3D 
  • Consecuencias Sociales y Económicas de la Pandemia: Aplicaciones para mitigar efectos sociales y económicos negativos; Plataformas electrónicas para optimizar el trabajo a distancia; Programas de emprendimiento social para mitigar el impacto económico de la pandemia.

AWARDS AVAILABLE
First Stage up to $10,000 USD

Projects will be funded on a rolling basis subject to availability of funds
 
Proposals will be accepted immediately following publication of this RFP up until May 30, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time
 
OBJECTIVE 
To support UNAM-UC collaborative innovation, product development and applied research that aims to mitigate the health, social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
AREAS OF PRIORITY
Include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
  • Biomedical: Diagnostic tests; Screening protocols; Treatment and Preventative Technologies
  • Health Systems: Tools for healthcare providers; Platforms; Market analysis; Tools for remote screening, interviewing, hiring and capacity-building; Mathematical/Epidemiological predictive models; Development of medical appliances or replacement parts (such as 3D prints for ventilators)
  • Social and Economic Consequences of the Pandemic: Tools to mitigate the social and economic impact; Electronic platforms to enable telecommuting; Social entrepreneurship programs
