This type of visa is for, provided that you are in one or both of the following scenarios:

• You are traveling to Mexico for vacations, transit, business, technical activities, artistic activities, scientific activities, sport activities, correspondent or journalist, ministers of religion.
• You will be in Mexico for up to 180 days, and you don´t have a work authorization.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Apply in person
• Fill out the Application form
• Valid passport in original and one photocopy of the pages containing personal information, photograph of bearer and expiration date/extensions
• Valid US visa for multiple entries and one photocopy
• Valid I-94 and/or I-20 or J-1 or I-797A Form in original and one photocopy
• One photo passport size, in color, no glasses
• Proof of address in USA (leasing, bills with magnetic band issued by US Postal Service, etc)
• Original financial records (last six months of your bank statements in US Dollars, last six months of pay stubs, employment letter specifying your position and salary and the last six months of international credit card statements. Original and official documents proving the ownership of a property/company/business and one photocopy of them. $750 dollars by month.
• If a company/organization in Mexico is sponsoring or inviting the foreign national, the applicant must submit an original invitation letter* (the invitation must have a letterhead, address and signed in ink. Scanned or pdf versions won´t be accepted)
• Payment or Consular fee (credit cards or debit cards are accepted). Visa fee of $54.00 U.S. Dlls.

*Invitation Letter -  Original Invitation Letter from the company/organization based in Mexico must be addressed to the Consulate General of Mexico in New York requesting the visa and specifying:

• Exact purpose or activity and length of time for the trip to Mexico
• How your expenses will be covered
• Applicant´s full name
• Registration number of the company/organization, plus address, complete name and contact information of the company/organization
• Copy of ID of the person who signed the invitation letter

NOTE: To apply, minors (under 18 years old) must be accompanied by parents (or legal guardian) and submit original and official documentation proving relationship between parents and child or legal status as a legal guardian.

This type of visa is for, provided that you are in one or both of the following scenarios:

• You are moving to Mexico to be there indefinitely
• You don´t have a work authorization

Requirements:

• Apply at this Consulate General in person
• Fill out the Application form,
• Valid passport in original and one photocopy of the pages containing personal information, photograph of bearer and expiration date/extensions
• If you’re not a US citizen, valid US visa for multiple entries and valid I-94 and/or I- 20 or J-1 or I-797A, original and one photocopy, One photo passport size, in color, no glasses
• Original financial records with more than $1,700 dollars monthly (last 6 months of your bank statements in US Dollars, or last 6 months of pay stubs, or employment letter specifying your position and salary and the last 6 months of international credit card statements.
• Yearly social security statement and one copy.
• If applicable, you must submit official documents proving the ownership of a USA property/company/business and one photocopy. (Example, the deed of your house).
• Official documents proving the ownership of a property in Mexico and one photocopy. If you are, or you  will be renting house in Mexico, you must submit a copy of the lease with the owner identification
• Proof of no criminal record issued by the police department in your city.
• Visa issuance fee, $36.00, dollars. You can pay by cash, credit or debit card, or money order, NO checks.

* All the documents on letter size.

This type of visa is for, provided that you are in one or more of the following scenarios:

• You are traveling to Mexico for retirement, investments, professional activities, technical activities, artistic activities, scientific activities, and sport activities or as a minister of religion
• You will be in Mexico more than 180 days
• You don´t have a work authorization

Requirements:

• Apply at this Consulate General in person
• Fill out the Application form,
• Valid passport in original and one photocopy of the pages containing personal information, photograph of  bearer and expiration date/extensions.
• One photo passport size, no glasses

Original financial records with more than $1,700 dollars monthly (last 6 months of your bank statements in US Dollars, or last 6 months of pay stubs, or employment letter specifying your position and salary and the last 6 months of international credit card statements.

• Yearly social security statement and one copy.

If applicable, you must submit official documents proving the ownership of a USA property/company/business and one photocopy. (Example, the deed of your house).

• Official documents proving the ownership of a property in Mexico and one photocopy. If you are, or you will be renting house in Mexico, you must submit a copy of the lease with the owner identification
• Proof of no criminal record issued by the police department in your city.
• Visa issuance fee, $40.00, dollars. You can pay by cash, credit or debit card, or money order, NO checks.

* All the documents on letter size.

This type of visa is for, provided that you are in one or both of the following scenarios:

• You are traveling to study in Mexico
• You don´t have a work authorization

Requirements:

• Apply in person
• Fill out the Application form, English or Spanish
• One photo passport size, in color, no glasses
• Valid passport in original and one photocopy of the pages containing personal information, photograph of bearer and expiration date/extensions
• Valid US visa for multiple entries; at least with 3 months of validity at the time of your filing and one photocopy
• Valid I-94 in original and one photocopy
• Original Acceptance letter from the School/Institution/University must include:

Applicant’s full name: Family name and given name as shown at the national passport

Level of Study/Degree: Specifying degree or type of diploma

Field/program of study: General academic or subject areas

Name of Program/Studies/Course:Specific name of the course/program or studies Exchange program,

Internship, etc

Length of program: Date a program begins and date of completion

Tuition fee: Total fees required, including tuition and homestay if applicable

Full Name of the Institution and additional information: The letter must include name of the institution, institution´s mailing address, telephone, fax number, e-mail, Web site, and name of contact

Others: The letter must be issued with letterhead; address and signature in ink of institution Representative

• Economic Solvency - Last twelve months of Bank Statements, last twelve months of international credit cards statements probing to have a permanent income for at least 727.00 US dollars or a letter proving to have a scholarship or other financial assistance.

If sponsored by parents or legal guardian (for students under 25 years old), submit an original Letter from parents stating that they will be sending their son or daughter the amount of, at least 727.00.00 US dollars per month, besides tuition (Affidavit of support); ID copy of parents (valid passports) and Applicant’s birth certificate (original and copy), along with other proof of economic solvency, including last three months of Bank Statements, last three months of international credit cards statements, and Employment Letter stating position and salary per month, proving to have a permanent monthly income for at least 727.00 US dollars.

• Proof of no criminal record issued by the police department in your city.
