COLIBRÍ MX SCHOLARSHIPS 2023

• Last year, the ColibríMX Scholarship Program benefited 89
students; 74% of them were the first in their families to attend
college.

The Consulate General of Mexico in San Diego and MAAC inform you that the application period for ColibríMX Scholarships is about to close; the deadline to apply is this Friday, June 30, 2023, at midnight.

The ColibríMX Scholarship aims to serve first-time college students enrolling in the fall 2023 semester with a GPA of 2.5 or higher who can demonstrate Mexican or Latino origin, financial need, and residence in San Diego County.

The goal is to award grants of $1,000 dollars each for the fall 2023 semester. In an effort to further assist those most in need, undocumented students will be eligible to win an extra $500 USD in the 2023 edition of the program. In addition, a $5,000 needs-based excellence scholarship will be awarded to one student.

“For the first time, we are providing the opportunity to receive an additional $500 USD to undocumented students. These students are the ones that need this scholarship the most since their scholarship and financing opportunities are more limited,” stated Consul General Carlos González Gutiérrez.

The Consulate General of Mexico in San Diego makes a friendly invitation to all those who know students who may qualify to receive this grant, to urge them to fill out their application before June 30.
