Thanksgiving is the original American holiday.
While Canada also celebrates their own version of the holiday, the US was first to establish a national day of Thanksgiving. This day is unique in that it is a completely secular holiday. All Americans, all those who live in the US, can celebrate together. In many ways, the entire world has adopted the celebration and for good reason! No matter where we are or our circumstances, we all have reason to be thankful.
On this Thanksgiving Day, I would like to send greetings on behalf of Mexico to all of our friends, relations, and countrymen who are celebrating with us, in San Diego, California, and the entire United States of America.
