REQUIREMENTS FOR HOUSE MANIFEST
(Moving Belongings to Mexico)

REQUIREMENTS
1. Fill out the House Manifest Certificate application
2. Valid passport (original and 4 copies)
3. Migratory document which allows you to live in Mexico (original and 4 copies).
- This is the document you must obtain in the National Migration Institute (Instituto Nacional
de Migración, INAMI) prior to residing in Mexico.
4. Proof of residence in Mexico (original and 4 copies).
- You need a document that has both your name and the address you will have in Mexico.
For example: Lease contract, title of property or utility bills.
5. Proof of residence in San Diego for the two previous years (originals and 4 copies)
- Documents that prove your address in San Diego, such as utility bills or tax payments.
6. House Manifest list (original and 4 copies).
- It must be computer or typewritten, have a detailed description of your household goods
and the total amount, and specify model and serial number for electronic devices, using the
following format:

7. Pay the House Manifest rights: $127.00 US dollars. For security reasons we don’t accept 100 dollar bills. (We accept cash, Money Order, Master Card, Visa or Discover, except cards with an electronic CHIP).
ADITIONAL NOTES:
- You must hire a customs broker who will develop a motion, describe and quantify the house manifest made in the office of the customs office through which you perform the import.
- The items included in the list must be acquired at least 6 months prior of requesting the House Manifest.
- You cannot include automotive vehicles as a part of the House Manifest to be imported free from taxes.
- The applicant must bring the requirements and application to the Consulate of Mexico from Monday through Friday from 7:00 to 11:00. If you meet the requirements, the House Manifest certificate will be ready the next day on the same schedule.
