IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
People who are in the following cases DO NOT NEED TO OBTAIN A MEXICAN VISITORS VISA, as long as their stay does not exceed 180 days.
- US CITIZENS
- CANADA CITIZENS
- Document proving permanent residencein Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, any of the countries that make up the Schengen Area, as well as in the member countries of the Pacific Alliance (Chile, Colombia and Peru).
- Valid and current visa from Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or any of the countries that make up the Schengen Area.
For Countries and regions that do not require a visa to travel to Mexico, please look into National Migration Institute.

At the immigration review filter, the foreign person must present:
- Passport or valid identity and travel document that is valid under international law.
- VALID visa or VALID green card from one of the countries mentioned above.
It may take up to 10 business days to process your visa application.
Visas are authorized in strict compliance with the requirements stipulated in the current Migration Law and based on a satisfactory consular interview. The authorization to enter the country and the temporarily of the stay allowed in Mexican territory will be determined by the immigration authority at the point of internment.
Payment of Consular fee ($54.00 USD). Consider that if your visa is denied, the payment is not refundable.
