This type of visa is for you if:

• You are traveling to Mexico for vacation, transit, business, technical activities, artistic activities, scientific activities, sport activities, correspondent or journalist, ministers of religion.
• You will be in Mexico for up to 180 days.
• You do not intend to work in Mexico.

 Requirements:

• Come up to the Consulate in person the day of your appointment
• Fill out the Application form. 
• Original valid passport including one photocopy of the pages that contain the personal information of bearer, photograph and expiration date/extensions.
• Proof of legal status in the US through valid I-94 and/or I-20 or J-1 or I-797A forms in original and including one photocopy.
• One color photo passport size (size 2 x 2 inches), no glasses.
• Proof of economic solvency, that can be:

1. Proof of employment, employment letter and/or pay stubs from the last three months
2. Bank statements for the last three months
3. Sponsor letter from a company or organization in Mexico. The document must be presented in original, in letterhead and contain address and signature of the sponsor. Scanned or PDF versions will not be accepted the day of the appointment. 

• Visa Application Fee $53.00 dollars the day of your appointment (Cash, Visa or Master Card accepted).

If the applicant is a minor, under 18 years old, must be accompanied by parents or legal guardian and present birth certificate and guardianship legal documents (if applicable).

IMPORTANT: Please note that if you are a US or Canadian citizen or if you are US permanent resident with a valid green card or a US non-immigrant with a valid stamped US visa you do NOT requiere to apply for a visa for non lucrative activities

If the purpose of traveling to Mexico is to work and you will receive a salary or payment in the country, your employer must submit an application before the National Immigration Institute in Mexico (Instituto Nacional de Migración INM).

Once INM authorizes the application will provide a NUT number (Número Unico de Trámite), that once received, the applicant must contact this consulate to request the corresponding visa to enter to Mexico.

This type of visa is for you if:

• You are planning to travel to Mexico and staying for more than 180 days but less than 4 years
• You do not intend to work in the country during your stay

Requirements:

• Come up to the Consulate in person the day of your appointment
• Fill out the Application form.
• Original valid passport including one photocopy of the pages that contain the photo and personal information of bearer.

• Proof of economic solvency, that can be:

1. Proof of pension from the Social Security for the last 6 months
2. Last 6 months of pay stubs or employment letter
3. Bank statements of checking, saving accounts or investments for the last 6 months.

• Visa Application Fee $53.00 dollars the day of your appointment (Cash, Visa or Master Card accepted).

If more than one person will apply for visa please notify.

This type of visa is for you if:

• You are retired and planning to move to Mexico permanently.

 Requirements:

• Come up to the Consulate in person the day of your appointment
• Fill out the Application form.
• Original valid passport including one photocopy of the pages that contain the photo and personal information of bearer.
• One color photo passport size (size 2 x 2 inches), no glasses.
• Proof of economic solvency, that can be:

1. Proof of Social Security pension for the last 6 months 
2. Bank statements of checking, saving accounts or investments for the last 6 months.
3. Deed of properties in Mexico including one letter size photocopy (Fidecomiso if needed).

• Visa Application Fee of $53.00 dollars.
• If more than one person will apply for the visa please notify.

This type of visa is for you if:

• The purpose of your travel is to study in Mexico.
• You do not intend to work during your stay in the country.

Requirements:

• Fill out the Application form. 
• Original valid passport including one photocopy of the pages that contain the personal information of bearer, photograph and expiration date/extensions.

• Original Acceptance letter from the School/Institution/University which must include:

- Applicant´s full name.

- Level of Study/Degree

- Field/program of study

- Name of program/studies/course

- Tuition Fee

- Full name of institution
