In the context of the third edition of the Live on the Patio Festival at Roy Thomson Hall organized by the Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall and as part of the World Fusion program, the Veracruz musician Alberto de la Rosa, leader of the band Tlen Huicani, together with the Mexican band Villalobos Brothers, offered a concert featuring a fusion of Mexico's traditional Son Jarocho music with rock and jazz.
The Corporation President, Deane Cameron, thanked the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) for its support, and highlighted the Consulate General's efforts in participating in the activities of the organization.
The concert was attended by members of the Mexican and Canadian communities interested in our inclusive culture, as well as media representatives, business leaders, professionals and students, all of whom had the opportunity to enjoy the traditional music of the Mexican state of Veracruz.
The Roy Thomson Hall is one of the most important concert venues in Toronto, presenting both emerging and internationally recognized artists, in addition to being home to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir.
