If the purpose of entering into Mexico is working there and you will receive a salary or payment (lucrative activities), the Mexican Company has to apply for a prior authorization of the National Immigration Institute in Mexico (INM). In that case, you will receive an authorization letter with a NUT number ( Número Unico de Trámite), is given to the Foreigner when his been authorized to work in Mexico.
As soon as the NUT authorization has been issued you must be in contact with this Consulate and make the arrangements to visit it. You only will have 30 working days for the interview and the issuance of your visa.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Fill out a visa application. (click here)
2. Complete the consular interview in person.
3. Valid passport or travel documents; original and one photocopy.
4. Submit one photo: passport size, visible face, no glasses, frontal view, in color, uncover face and white background.
5. If the Foreigner is not a native of the country where the visa is requested, it is required that an original and photocopy of the documents are provided to prove migratory legal status.
6. Copy of the Authorization letter with the NUT number
7. Payment of the visa fee.
