DOCUMENT VERIFICATION
The document verification procedure is a comparison of one document with another, certifying that the copy is a true and faithful copy of the original that the official has reviewed. The Head of the Consular Office is authorized to verify Mexican public or private documents, which must be in Spanish, and the original must be present to proceed with certifying the corresponding copies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete the application form, which can be obtained here.
- Document(s) for which you want certified copies. These must INVARIABLY be SCANNED (photos are not accepted) in PDF format and letter size (A4). If the documents are legal size or larger, they must be resized to A4, and if they are double-sided, both sides must be sent.
- Valid identification.
- Payment of the consular fee.

If complete, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment at the Consulate, where you must bring the ORIGINAL of all the documents previously sent by email. Payment will be made in cash on the day of the appointment.
Documents will only be accepted with the specified requirements, so please ensure they are sent exactly as requested to ensure proper processing of your procedure.
NOTES:
In accordance with Mexican legislation, a private document, by virtue of being verified, does not become a public document. This means that, in case of dispute, the private document subject to verification will remain a private document.
