Originario de México, Distrito Federal. Es egresado de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

 

Ingresó al Servicio Exterior Mexicano en 1990 y hoy en día tiene el rango de Ministro. Dentro de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores laboró en la entonces Dirección General de Asuntos Consulares de 1990 a 1994.

 

Posteriormente, fue trasladado al Consulado General de México en Shanghai, donde permaneció de 1994 a 2000. Asimismo, cuenta con amplia experiencia consular derivada de su paso por los Consulados mexicanos en Santa Ana, California (2000-2004); Albuquerque, Nuevo México (2004-2008) y Dallas, Texas (2008-2011).

 

Desde agosto de 2011 hasta mayo de 2015 se desempeñó como Director General Adjunto de Servicios Consulares en la Dirección General de Servicios Consulares de la Cancillería, en México, D.F.

 

El 11 de mayo de 2015 tomó posesión de la titularidad del Consulado de México en Leamington, Ontario, Canadá.

 

 

Born in Mexico City, he has a degree in Law by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

 

He joined the Mexican Foreign Service in 1990, and at this time has the rank of Minister. During his tenure at the Main Offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was appointed at the Department of Consular Affairs from 1990 to 1994.

 

Later he was posted at the Consulate General of Mexico in Shanghai, China, from 1994 to 2000. He achieved significant experience because of his tenure at the Consulates of Mexico in Santa Ana, California, USA (2000-2004), Albuquerque NM (2004-2008) and Dallas TX (2008-2011)

 

From 2011 until 2015 he was appointed as Deputy Director General for Consular Services at the Main Offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Mexico City.

 

On May 11, 2015, he took office as Consul of Mexico in Leamington, ON Canada.
