Please note that, effective October 2022, you must schedule an appointment before you can request a visa. To schedule an appointment, please call +1 (424) 309 0009 or visit https://citas.sre.gob.mx. It is not possible to schedule an appointment via email.

If you are applying for a diplomatic or official visa, you do not need an appointment. Please bring your documents to our offices from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00.

Applicants with a valid and unexpired visa from any of the following countries do not need a visa to enter Mexico for tourism, business or transit purposes: Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or any of the countries of the Schengen Area.
Applicants with a Permanent Resident card from any of the following countries do not need a visa to enter to Mexico for tourism, business or transit purposes: Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or any of the countries of the Schengen Area.

If the permanent resident card or US visa is expired but you have an official document or form proving your legal status in USA, you must apply for a Mexican visa at this Consulate. All EAD cards, I-797 A Forms, I-751, Advance Parole Forms, I-20 OR DS-2019 are not accepted to enter Mexico.
