Document comparison
Document comparison is the legal action of comparing, which consists of confronting or comparing one document with another, attesting that it is a faithful copy of the visible original.
This procedure is frequently requested in Quebec to achieve the equivalence of studies and recognition of diplomas.

Requirements:
· Present the original* and two legible photostatic copies of the document from which the comparison will be made.
· Payment of the corresponding rights. Check the cost in the Consular Fees section on the home page.
· Resolution time: 2 working days.
· It is important to keep in mind that both sets of photocopies of the original document must be complete and legible. Likewise, if your document has several pages, the photocopies must be in the same order and in the same direction. If the documents are very large, for example university diplomas, it is advisable to reduce them to letter format.
*The original may remain in custody until the end of the process, but it is always returned.
